 Karting Leagues Moved to Thursday Nights! 

 

What are Karting Leagues?

Karting leagues are your opportunity to see how you stack up in a real race against other skilled drivers. Kart Leagues is a rental race program that is built to give you the most bang for your buck along with the maximum adrenaline we are allowed too! With a four-race structure (practice, qualifying, pre-final and final) each race is based on a point system so you can win a single race or a whole season. All equipment is provided from the kart to the helmet but you are more then welcome to bring your own as long as they meet the tracks requirements (Snell SA-2010 or newer).

Registration

All racers are encouraged to register online prior to the event. Online registration closes the night before each event. Day-of registration will be available at the park up to 2 hours before the race with an entry fee raised to $150. Check out the calendar below to find upcoming events and register early.

Six Stages to Hitting the Track


1: Register

It is encouraged to register online prior to the race date. Day-of registration will be raised to $150 to accommodate sudden staffing changes.

2: Create Your Profile

All drivers must have a profile created in our Karting system to receive race results.

3: Waivers

Once in our system, each driver will have to sign our waivers. Anyone 17 or younger must sign our minor waivers. Parents must be present during the entire event.

4: Safety briefing

All racers must attend a mandatory driver's briefing. No cell phones will be allowed during the briefing. Lockers are available for personal belongings.

5: Weigh ups

All racers will be weighed up and put into their respective weight classes.

6: Helmets

Racers will be provided a helmet for the day. If you have your own helmet you may bring it. Helmets must have a closed shield or goggles. *No open face helmets will be allowed.

Rules & Requirements

  • Weight Classes

Must have at least 4 racers in a weight class to run. Weight classes with less than 6 drivers will be combined. Classes are:

  • Light: under 190 lbs
  • Heavy: over 190 lbs

  • Arrive and Drive Rules for Leagues
Drivers can come and earn extra points for leagues. They can earn up to 100 points a month by racing in Arrive & Drive. Each heat can get racers up to 5 points just by placing in the top 3.

  • Age and Size Requirements
You must be 60″ tall and at least 15 years of age to participate. All participants under 18 years of age must have a minor waiver filled out with a parent or guardian present. *Parent or guardian must be present for the entire day of racing. All participants must wear closed-toe shoes.

Race Day Information

  • Check-In
The fun starts with Driver Check-In and the Driver’s Briefing. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to get through the check-in process. The Driver’s Briefing is mandatory for all participants. Once the briefing is finished, racing will take place.

  • Grid Order
  • Practice: The grid order will be random.
  • Qualifying/1st Heat: Order is based on lap time.
  • Pre-Final/2nd Heat: Order is based on 1st heat finishing results.
  • Final: Order is based on 2nd heat finishing results.

Minor Waiver

Minimum Height Requirement is 60″

The Minor Waiver Form is required for any person under 18 years of age that participates in any on-track activity at NOLA Motorsports; you must follow the steps below exactly for this form to be accepted once you arrive at the park. If you are arriving at the park with your parent or guardian this form can be completed upon arrival.

  • The Minor Waiver Form MUST be printed in COLOR
  • DO NOT FOLD (we can not accept folded forms)
  • Minor Waiver Form does not need to be notarized.
