Opening date?
Anyone know when Cars will be going down the track on the NOLA course? I'm sure the opening dates must have changed from time to time, so I wonder what the projected date is now? Thanks.

I posted this in another thread, copying it here also:
We're still on schedule for a November "soft" opening with our official grand opening coming early next year. The construction team has the soil stabilized from the entrance to the kart paddock area. They were surveying the kart track last week before we left for Autobahn. Look for a good update in the next week with pictures on the mailing list, check our Facebook page for quick pictures and information.

I have a 97 Cobra that I just did all the suspension on; coil over front and rear, caster/camber plates, UPR tubular k member, w/ a arms, adjustable upper & lower rear control arms, rotors all around, I guess I need to order a Flaming River rack now that there is a track.. I am sure I am leaving something out I am so flip out that there is a home track being built here. I will save the motor mods for another thread. But I think I am going to acquire a few karts and get serious.

To add to Wes's response to the track opening, constructions has picked up speed with the dry weather. We are currently on schedule for a soft opening on the kart track in November, the North Big track will be this coming spring. We will keep you posted.
Garett can fill you in on the exciting plans we have for our kart program and our kart shop that he is working on. We should be posting classes/rules for the spring racing program very soon for the Sprint (roadracing) and oval tracks.
I know I am looking forward to getting my 3 karts out for some laps.

I know this might sound kinda lame but its all it got. I got a 99 honda civic sohc almost stock that I'll probably drive out there and I have a 95 Nissan 240 SX that I'm building. Hoping to get some drifting in with the nissan once im finished it.

I have a 997 Twin turbo, and cannot wait for this to open..Especially if it has open grass buffers instead of concrete walls. Been racing a bit but dont wanna spread my German investment all along the guardrails!

Honda Civic's make great track cars so do the 240SX though the it will be a bit loose with a drift set up. We will have large runoff area's so a driver/rider will be trying hard to hit a barrier.
