Orey,
I hate to hear of anyone having a bad experience at a track day at any track. It is always good to be reminded about the importance of customer/guest service and experience.
Thanks,

"i believe with the membership, you are allowed to bring like 2 guests, all you have to do is split it 3 ways with 2 very trusted friends and if they want to go and you dont, then they can become you for a day.i plan to look into this idea when the time comes."

"you could also sell your guest pass to people who dont want to commit for say $150 a day. "
Really guys? You've got to be kidding...

Yeah, it's been bare bone at NPR/ CGB in reference to rider safety/ rider imput. The current owners seem less interested than the last owners about motorcycle trackdays. They know that the track is unsafe for motorcycles, so they use any little thing to gripe about to take track time away from the riders. I think they're afriad of being sued should something go wrong, but it's the price we pay because they're the only "Game" in town. When NMS is up and running it should take care of the problem.
Looking forward to riding a world class track.

I understand that those idea's are a bit extreme. But, none of us know how the membership thing works, me included. So, enlighten us please.

I am in no way affiliated with the track, but the way the schedule reads to me is:
http://www.nolamotor.com/nmsp-membership/
A motorcycle membership is a single membership for the rider only. It gives you access to the main track on member days. It also includes 10 Kart rentals and 5 annual Guest Clubhouse Passes. You would have access to the Clubhouse and Amenities. I don't see an option for Guest Riders.
That post made it seem like people were looking for ways to cheat the new track out of money, which isn't a great way to make new friends.

I see how it would leave that impression. The issue is not to try and cheat the track out of money, but how can it be affordable for most regular people. That's what I understood of that discussion. But, don't the car guys have the choice of having car guests? We are not a bunch of scoundrels trying to rippoff the track, just like riding with our buddies. Ill say that If I can afford the membership fee, and none of my buddies can, then I wont bother purchasing it because its no/less fun riding/hanging out in the paddock by yourself or with a bunch of folks you dont know. I would be more apt just to ride once a month on public days if that is the case. We motorcyclists respect this facility and its wishes. I for one understand that this place is more than willing to cater to motorcycles and that has earned my respect.

Yeah, it looks like the car guys get 5 Guest Drivers per year and additional guest drivers are $200/day. I'm just speculating, but it may have something to do with how technical a motorcycle is to ride vs. a car and that a rider would take more time to get accustomed to their buddy's bike, but I don't know.
One thing is for certain: a single day on a track of this caliber for around $200 (I think that's what I read) is a great deal and, for guys that are more heavily involved, the $5000/year price tag of a Motorcycle Membership is a steal.

its not about us trying to screw the track, i look at it like this, would you rather me buy a $5000 membership and sell my guest pass to my brother and friend who would never buy a membership, in hopes to recoupe some of my money, or would you rather me not buy a membership at all because i cant or dont want to afford it.i have many hobbies that take money to enjoy, sometimes the large fees for one hobby is not worth doing without one of my other hobbies.
if i could bring 2 bikes with me 5 times a year, i could get $200 from each of them, the track is guaranteed my $5000 and its not so expensive for me to ride.that would be $1000 of my money back, the track made $5000 off of me, instead of them not making anything off of me or my 2 friends because none of us could afford to go.i can understand the $5000 being great for somebody who would ride 4 times a month but in reality i dont have the time to do that, i would only ride maybe 2 times a month and that is not set in stone...they would need to be allowed thier own bike though, kinda like a hunting lease, if you pay the yearly fees, 2 friends are allowed to hunt with you with thier own gun.it was just an idea, if it was not possible i would just ride the public track days once a month and the track would make a maximum of $2400 off of me a year rather than the $5000 annual fee, its not worth $5000 for me to ride the small amount that i would be able to make it to the track.
that idea is just based off of speculation of "if " guests were allowed

I agree with you here..^^
What you said about the technicality of a motorcycle VS. a car. I pretty sure what was implied was that the motorcycle guest ride is that the ''buddy'' would ride his own bike.

the membership sounds really nice but i guess its just not for me, i would like to ride once or twice a month so im just going to pay the $200 which i agree is a fair price for such a nice facility, time permitting i may upgrade to membership in the next few years but i cant see me ever using the
NOLA Member activities,Club House garden and pool access,NOLA Therapeutic Center access, and i sure will never use the guest passes because nobody is taking my bike around the track.i would only upgrade to a full membership to have more available trackdays and a covered paddock area.

Mitch,
What is the policy on family if Im a member? Family being my wife and young child.. NOT; cousins, uncles, parents, siblings, etc.
Also, I understand there will be supermoto days held on the kart track. Will they correlate with a motorcycle membership?
Thanks, -Orey

The Lifetime or Annual memberships include immediate family members (kids 25 and under) and that works for Motorcycles and Cars for family track access. With the motorcycle membership you can use your guest passes for club house access for your wife.
Supermoto bikes can come out and ride on any open kart day for $50.00 karts and bikes will run in sessions. I know this doesn't answer your question completely, I have to look into a complete answer for you.

With a Lifetime or Annual membership eligible family members have the same track access as the member of record.
Motorcycle members guest rider passes, after a number of questions (thank you) Guest rider passes will allow the members guest riding privileges for a NOLA Motorcycle day.

Will the motorcycle membership fee's increase after the south track opens, due to the additional 100 trackdays that will be available?
Thanks

That's Great!
Ok, so what I'm understanding is that the guest rider passes can be purchased additionally like the car membership driver passes? Is there an allotted number of passes that can be purchased annually? Same question Per event? Any idea on pricing for that? Sorry if I'm being a bother with all my questions, just really interested in the membership and want to be sure of what it inludes. Thanks!

This is kind of a technical question. If my father was to purchase the motorcycle membership my 18 year old brother would be included in the membership. Could he attend membership motorcycle days by himself (without main member present)? Thanks again.

With a Lifetime or Annual Membership that is correct, not the case with the Motorcycle membership. On the web site in the membership section we have a chart that indicated's the benefits of each membership.
Keep the questions coming. We have been working on these programs for so long and we have looked at each membership so much that your questions are helpful in making sure we are suppling clear understandable information.
