There's one in Lafayette, LA @ Moore Park. There used to be one in Saucier, MS called Gulf Oaks and one just outside of Jackson, MS.

I just wanna thank Darren & his dad that drove in from Mississippi to do a TNT at Moore Park Raceway today. Also thanks to Ty, Anthony, Carl, Rocky, Ravice, Richard, Paul, Claire, Brian & step daughter, Terry, & a few other drivers that came out. Thanks to Ravice for BBQing burgers & sausage for all & Anthony for drinks. I appreciate everyone helping each other with tech & kart work. Look forward to next time!

Ricky, thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, as well as the hospitality. Never a dull moment with changes in track layout throughout the day, and what a great, laid back atmosphere. My Dad and I had a great time today. Can't wait to try it again.

Holy cow... I just pulled up the Google Maps pic of the Moore Park track! You guys have either really changed the place or have some huge plans for the layout!? Exactly what does the layout look like today? I grew up on that track back in the 80's and 90's but sorta lost touch when I moved out to NOLA. It's good to see how the old girl's been fixed up. Maybe one day we'll make it back out there.

Darren, it has a dirt section for Motards and some additional paving in addition to the original layout. The original track was resurfaced a couple of years ago with real racing pave and is very nice. The additional sections are ok, but definitely not the same level of fit and finish as the original track. I prefer running the original section since it's consistent and safe, whereas the new sweeper goes to close to the fence and is a safety issue, IMO. Regardless, it is worth the trip and it's a steal for the price.

Ah. I haven't been there since the gravel and tires were installed.

Ricky,
We are looking forward to working with Moore Park to build karting in Louisiana. We ask that a business or promotor contact us before posting ad's, promote events or products on our forums.
I agree that family, fun & friendships are what our sport is about but we do have a policy we follow.
