Braid , Bobby and I went to vir :cool: Mike and his sun Jarrett from Texas may come later to meet us there. The trip started out bad with a problem. but got better as we got there Thursday. setting up and bulled shitting to 12:00 . Friday track is a blast up and down back and forth. s's high speed long straight and a oak tree turn. Down hill turns are steppers flat out over blind hills. With the safety marshals and corner workers with flags at hand to say all is safe ahead no need to lift. and to relari on this men and ladies and to know these people is a horror. Running Friday all good. water temp a little high so a little mod and Back out. temp down rpm's down with my 2002 pvp yfz450 four stroke. but I felt ok with it being Friday. just kept it together for Sunday. Stay on track and practice. When you see the flag faster kart coming. when they come by you just cant believed how fast a 1:55.4 is. These guys are fasssst. Ran good Friday laughing to 1:00 am. thinking about sat. Running with car group is fun. after you run walk around and take in the sights. vir is one of my top 3 tracks. sat rained so I didn't run. I got to watch the group run. A few racers had problems so Jarrett and I helped them . off they went in the wet with rain lights on. Green flag there they go with out me. yyyy inside saying Sunday Sunday Sunday and dumas- dumas- dumas-. And I had new rain trys. Brad went off at turn one in the rain. Brad ok safety car out. Corner workers got Brad out of the grass. Push button start and back to the pits to empty the grass bag as it was full. After watching a bit and amazed on how fast superkarts are in the wet. cool.and wild So back to the pitts to help Brad. up to 1 am and thinking tomorrow tommrow tomorrow. so I had a drinkkkkkk to help me sleep because my head was in pain. from laughting so hard. setting around eatting sausage for Bobby loves too bring his barbeque grill. Mike and Jarrett made gumbolairo for any and everybody that came by to only join in the laughter. Sunday up early to check every thing out because at a 125 mph it better be right. For this is ROAD RACING SUPERKARTS. pratice all good. may have a little problem with clutch but not quiet sure. ran 2 more laps seams good so I lined up for the main. I didn't go out for sat so to the back I went . now this is what we travel something like 22 hours with a little sleep and a stop for the problem .Sunday starting from the back it was wild line up. start your engines .pase car out front with lights on. one warm up lap lights off on to top of the pace car and pulls in. front row lines up every one in line green flag .and a way they went and I mean a wayyyy they went. Mike in the front of me goes wide in turn one so inside I went. few more people had problems so I jumped again. through the ss's to the oak tree more guys in the front of me so down goes the throttle.running as hard as i can down or up the back straight. no flags at the corner works stand so I push the throttle as hard as my foot could.122 mph i started clossing on two superkarts in the front of me. it was Brad having a good battle with Taylor. two of my SS group so out braking my self at every turnand standing on the gas as hard as I could. got my head down low. getting closer and closer all the time heading to the oak there they are. so close at a 100 mph I could smell the exhaust. around the oak tree three went brad behind Taylor goes for a pass. I said lets make it three wide and pulled both of them. staying on the throttle thinking the rest of the race I know someone going to try something. then i sean a faster passing kart flag. it was the superfastrers leader lapping me. down the insid.they pass.like dam. tired to watch they line through the next coner. but they were going again . white flag one more lap. no other kart in the front of me. but in the back of my head I kept thing where is Brad.after arounding the oak tree I could see he was to far away.I had good speed but my clutch is now starting to slip. what. I think not now. so I took my time thinking just couple of more turns .there the checker flag .I won first Brad second Taylor third Joey fourth in the SS class . Bobby won first Mark second and Mike third in S2. Andy first Jim second John third in S1. what a fun fun track first class place. I will go back .and if you have never been to VIR you are missing one of the top places in the USA.
