Its to my understanding that the kart track will be in full swing as of this fall, is that correct? I think that I read in another post that somebody was inquiring about if the the kart track is going to be open for supermoto days. Being a guy thats into supermoto, I second this question. I understand that being a fully paved track that it wouldnt really be a ''real'' supermoto track, but all asphault is fine with me :).. -Orey
I wasnt sure if this should be in kart or bike thread, but being I ride instead of drive,, bikes it is.. :D

The kart track has been surveyed and is undergoing grading.
We've talked about supermoto internally. I'll let Mitch Wright speak more on it when the time is right. :)

Orey,
Yes we will run Supermoto bike sessions on the open kart track days if we have interest from the supermoto riders. At this time we don't have plans to add a dirt section, down the road with enough interest we could look into it.
All the wet weather lately has slowed us down a bit but construction is moving right along with the dry weather recently. We are looking to have Kart track operational by November. We will post up dates as we progress.
Is there a supermoto community in the area and do you have an idea of the number of interested riders?
I will look forward to meeting you at the track,
Mitch Wright

First, Thank you Mitch for the reply and information. I live in the southern Mississippi region (Picayune) so no place here to really ride anything with sticky tires. I do know that there is a rapid growing crowd of the supermoto conception in general. Just in the past 3 years since I became interested in the field, I have noticed a healthy growth even with the recent economy. I attended alot of trackdays most of them at former npr and usually there are at least 2-5 riders with supermoto's. But, an ''ideal'' track for these bikes such as the kart track you guys are building would pull a much larger crowd I would assume. There are a few organizations around that hold supermoto/minimoto trackdays/races. GAMRA being one that I have ridden with personally. www.gamra.org .. There is also a decent crowd that flocks to the small kart track known as razors edge in lafayette la.
I would say that with a decent track in the area, this genre of motorcycle racing will grow better locally as well and maybe rapidlyl. This is very exciting for me and I'm excited about the potential this may bring to supermoto here. Supermoto is BIG over seas, and its coming. I also track a sportbike as well, you will probably be seeing alot of me, God willing :).. Thanks again Mitch, I also look foward to meeting you in person.

Mitch,
I just posted another thread on this subject. Sorry!
There are several motard riders locally. I think you will be able to get motards and Kawa 250 riders. Rentmyninja.com rents Kawa 250's locally.
I agree with Orey that it will be possible to build a good group based on what's already here and bring people out to see it during track days.
See you at the track and keep up the good work
Kind regards
Henrik Larsen
