Sign me up for the arrive and drive race, sounds like fun. For the record I'm 6'4" and 240lb. Guess I'm Heavy or Sumo?

What's required Wes's?

Details are set and will be put out in tomorrow morning's news update.

Short version...

$20 to race for public, $10 for Test 'n Tuners/Members that day -- race will be in the 15-20 lap range depending on number of participants. Standing start off of a pea pick (random) grid drawn from a helmet. We will split the registrants into four weight categories.

Bring your helmet, neckbrace if you have one -- if not we provide these. Closed toe shoes and no loose clothing. Race suit etc optional for the rentals but you will look really serious if you have one on.

Black flags will be give out liberally to rough drivers, race is over for you at that point.

If I can make it to the Test n Tune, I may stroll over and participate, but only if I can race in the Sumo class so I have a chance. ;) Then again I may end up in the Sumo class regardless!

I'm in.

Any chance we can throw weights in the rentals so the four winners can face off evenly?

Maybe with the winner getting to run for free next race?

Just thinkin'...

So the total cost for the race is $20? I have never raced a go kart a day in my life. Am I allowed to race? I like to think I was born to race and would like to see if that is true. haha

$20 to race, newbies are especially welcome... almost everyone in this area is new to karting so you will be in good company!

Show up between 10a and 4p while the rental karts are running and you can jump in a rental session for some practice laps... the rental karts will be running the same configuration as the race.

I was debating on coming out or not because of the 2 hour drive, but couldn't pass with how beautiful the day was. I only did two sessions and wanted to stay for the race but the hunger in my stomach thought otherwise. I will be adding the videos to this post as it gets uploaded. I almost have the angle down on the camera but since it was at 960p I am going to have to adjust it a little higher than I would on 720p.
